The Wellington Exhibition will involve a installation of paper planes with protest messages on them. We have already done one installation at Freedom Shop in Newtown. Now we wish to make this a community event to express our rage at this video in an exhibition where people can come in and make paper planes and right their own message of rage on them.
We also hope to post up letters of complaint and responses from Air NZ PR team, which have been condescending, patronizing and suggested that upsetting woman and exposing children to inappropriate images is okay, as their sales have gone up.
We also wish to ask artists to produce works of art and craft, which can be auctioned off to raise money for Rape Crisis.
Lastly, we would like children to paint or craft pictures of what travelling on an airplane is about, to show that bikini clad woman is not everyone's vision of air travel.
